Honouring Mother Earth and the guardian of directions before beginning any construction.
Bhoomi Pujan is a traditional ceremony performed to honour and seek the blessings of Bhoomi Devi (Mother Earth) and Vastu Purush (the deity of directions) before any building work begins. "Bhoomi" means earth and "Pujan" means worship.
It is an act of gratitude and humility โ asking the Earth's permission and blessing before we build upon her, and invoking auspiciousness, safety and prosperity for the project.
GPWO performs Bhoomi Pujan with Gayatri Mantra and Yagya, invoking blessings for a safe and prosperous construction โ performed simply and meaningfully in the Gayatri Pariwar way โ centred on the Gayatri Mantra and a small Yagya, with the family participating directly rather than as onlookers.
