Puja Samagri

Yagya & Havan โ€” Samagri

The classical Gayatri yagya โ€” the heart of our tradition. Offer the sacred fire with these materials and a heart full of devotion.

Samagri Checklist

Special Items for a Full Yagya

Beyond the core samagri, a full yagya benefits from:

  • Extra bundles of mango-wood samidha for many ahutis
  • Additional havan samagri & ghee in proportion to the offerings
  • Jau (barley) & til (sesame) for the ahutis
  • A framed image of Gayatri Mata for the vedi
  • Purnahuti items โ€” a whole coconut wrapped in red cloth, paan, supari & fruits
  • A grain (sasya) offering for the final ahuti
The Essentials
