Significance
Grah Pravesh is the ceremony of entering a new home for the first time. Tradition describes several forms โ apoorva (a brand-new house), sapoorva and dwandhav โ and in each, the family chooses an auspicious time and offers worship before stepping in.
The puja sanctifies the dwelling, clears it of negative influences, and fills it with the vibrations of prayer โ so that the home becomes a place of peace, harmony and wellbeing for all who live there.
