Samagri Checklist
Special Items for Bhoomi Pujan
Along with the core samagri, arrange these for the ground-breaking ceremony:
- Silver or copper naag (snake) & a small kalash
- Panch-dhatu (five metals) to bury in the foundation
- A foundation brick or stone
- Betel nuts, whole turmeric & coins to offer the earth
- Raw milk & curd for Bhoomi Devi
- Worship items for Varun & Bhumi Devi
- Navagraha samagri
- A red cloth to wrap the foundation offerings

- Havan kund (copper/iron) or a clean vedi with sand
- Mango-wood samidha & dry cow-dung cakes (kande)
- Havan samagri — herbal mixture (jau, til, rice, sandal, dry herbs)
- Pure cow's ghee (gau ghrit)
- Camphor (kapur) & a matchbox
- Sruva / spoon for offering ahuti

- Kalash (copper/brass) with water, mango leaves & coconut
- Roli, kumkum, haldi, chandan & akshat (unbroken rice)
- Moli / kalava (sacred thread)

- Paan, supari, laung, elaichi & Gangajal
